Time and again we organise yoga workshops that include all aspects of yoga. This extended yoga class is 2.5 hours and includes pranayama, asanas, relaxation and meditation. It offers the opportunity to experience a complete yoga class beyond the standard asana and relaxation class. It is a great way to deepen your practice and understanding of yoga. In this class we have the time to experience the benefits of breathing (pranayama) on our body and mind, the complete and extended yoga sequence of asanas, there is enough time to go through all three phases of the final relaxation which altogether prepare one for meditation. We learn techniques for concentration which are a stepping stone to meditation. All of those are aspects of yoga that one cannot practise and experience in regular drop in classes. Therefore the purpose of those workshops is to give students the opportunity to deepen their learning and take it to their own sadhana.
